Nerd Nite to Produce Documentary About Global Lecture Series
Nerd Nite: part pub lecture series, part global community. Soon to be a film!
Now a monthly event held in over 80 cities, it started as a local lecture series in a pub and grew into a global community of nerds. What do these people have in common? They like their education with a chaser. The Filmmakers will share with fans the amazing and even oddball events at the Nerd Nites around the world, from Zimbabwe to Toronto, during which several passionate speakers give short, fun-yet-informative presentations across all disciplines – all while the audience drinks along. Depending on the city, you might expect speed dating, science experiments, magic, trivia, or even acrobats. Nerd Nite celebrates the glory of minutiae. Because you can be a nerd about anything.
The upcoming film is competing for funding in a Cinecoup contest, click here to vote and support the project: http://www.cinecoup.com/nerd-nite/
